Meet Jeff and Sarah, the people behind It’s Personal Catering.
Jeff Duncan grew up connecting with friends and family around the dinner table. For him, gathering together around good food is an essential, joyous part of life. He’s happiest creating that experience for others.
As with Jeff, good food has always been a part of Sarah Palmer’s life. An artist by nature, she’s attuned to every aspect of good food: the flavors, the textures, and the visual appeal. Sarah takes the lead in making sure that every plate is as beautiful as it is delicious.
Together, they love creating food that is delicious, alluring, ‑ as memorable as the occasion itself.
Jeff and Sarah are ACF-certified Culinarians and honors graduates from the Culinary Arts Program at Renton Technical College. Their culinary internships were at Rover’s, the acclaimed Seattle restaurant headed by James Beard award-winning chef Thierry Rautureau. In addition, Jeff was a member of an award winning state championship cooking team, and both Jeff and Sarah have won medals in individual competitions.
As a student at Renton Technical College Jeff volunteered countless hours to the Washington State Chefs Association and college events. Jeff is a current member of the American Culinary Federation. He served as the Apprenticeship Instructor for the Chef’s Association from 2013 to 2016 and was voted Chef Professional of the Year by the Washington State Chefs Association in 2016. Jeff has a BA and an MA in Education from Arizona State University, both with honors, and ten years of teaching experience.
